Resurfacing of Roads Batch 2

The Xewkija Local Council started a new project of resurfacing with hot asphalt at Triq Gharus, Triq Indri Borg and Triq Arc. Grech. The contractor commenced the works in August 2011. The water services will be changed while new mains will be laid these streets. This project is being carried out with the collaboration of the Secretariat Parliamentary for Local Councils after the Local Council had its second Public Private Partnership Scheme application approved. In all, this applications have five roads to be resurfaced in the coming months which are Triq Indri Borg, Triq Arc. Grech, Triq l-Gharus, Triq Sant’Elija and Triq Jean De La Vallette. Works are still in progress.
