Lions back to winning ways

Our Lions returned to winning ways against league contenders Ghajnsielem. Sannat managed to score in the first moments of the match and with a collective defensive display in the first half they kept the lead till the break. Our Lions were very organized and determined to win the three points. In the second half the Lions not only defended well but also created some good opportunities to score.

Sannat Lions booked a place in the semi-final of the second most important honour in Gozitan Football with a good victory over second division side Oratory Youths.  The victory for Sannat was well deserved as they held command of play for long stretches.  However, they only managed to make sure of qualification with two goals scored in the final stages of the match. Nadur Youngsters and Sannat Lions earned a point each from a draw of four goals in an interesting match where the final score remained uncertain until the final minutes.  It was a just result.  Sannat were the better side during the period and also took a one goal lead.   CLICK HERE...

Our Lions ended their match against Ghajnsielem empty handed. The Lions were superior in the first forty five minutes and could have scored two or three times if our strikers were more concentrated. For the Lions debuted Mousa Bamba who is a defensive midfielder.   CLICK HERE...
